The only exceptions are the Arrows (Copper Workbench), Flashlight, Batteries, and Toolgun (Tech Workbench). In spite of not being usable as weapons, just about everything you create on the workbenches which adds experience to your faster work skill. Your ability to make weapons is dependent on your character's Weapon Crafting skill level. In GMOD Stranded, you will be dealing damage to other player characters and to the huntable Non-Player Characters. Weapons, obviously, are used to deal damage to various things.
